Circus Sarasota
Circus Sarasota is back in town! The mission of the Circus Arts Conservatory is “Performance, Training, Outreach, and Legacy.” Established in 1949 as The Sailor Circus by Bill Rutland in conjunction with Sarasota High School, The Circus Arts Conservatory is a non-profit organization that both educates and entertains. There is something for everyone at the Circus Arts Conservatory, ranging from private aerial silks classes to literally learning how to fly on a trapeze! There are spring break and summer camps available for kids to sample the arts of a circus from clowning to juggling to aerial classes.
The most exciting event is that Circus Sarasota will be holding performances on Nathan Benderson Park’s Regatta Island. Some of the circus performers are famous, as they competed in the popular tv show America’s Got Talent! Enjoy spending time at Circus Sarasota!
